Overview

Balance Ecological provides personal, professional consulting services in species-at-risk recovery and riparian ecosystem management. Specializing in at-risk amphibians and wetland habitats in British Columbia, Canada, we work with our partners to plan and implement recovery activities including research, monitoring, habitat restoration, grant proposal development, and environmental education.

Our primary clients are environmental non-government organizations, federal, and provincial governments. We also provide consulting services to all levels of government regarding riparian (streamside) management under the Riparian Areas Regulation. We design, implement and monitor riparian restoration projects, and collaborate with ENGOs to restore at-risk watersheds.

Currently, Monica Pearson (owner / principal) is completing a graduate degree in Environmental Design with the School of Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia. During this time we will be minimizing our consulting services, but will continue to work with the Oregon spotted frog and riparian restoration in the Fraser Valley.
